A few points to get you started on the road to success

  • The minimum age for a UK provisional licence is currently 17, There has been talk of this age increasing to 18 however nothing has been confirmed as yet. If you are over 17 but have not held a licence before you must apply for a provisional licence before you start driving lessons.

  • You can apply for your licence up to 2 months before your licence is due to start. You must not drive on the road until your licence has arrived and only then on or after your 17th birthday. You can apply at any Post office using a D1 form or online

  • For more information for Learner Drivers find a wealth of information on the Direct.gov site by clicking here where you will find information on the practical and theory tests

  • Book your Driving lessons with Apex School of Motoring where you will be advised on all aspects of driving, which books to read and when you should take your test.
